Nestle boycoit

MY name is Celina J Matuja
Many people in various countries has warned about feeding their babies milk from china last year after finding out that some liquid milk could be contaminated.
The worned comes Septemba 19, 2008 after several infants died and thousands were sickened by tainted milk formula in China.
Starbucks stores in China have stopped serving milk from a particular supplier after tha happen and Starbucks customers are major consumers of milk, which is a base for many drinks.
Batches of liquid milk and yogurt produced by China Mengniu Dairy Co., Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co. and Bright Dairy & Food Co. also were found to be tainted by the chemical melamine, China's quality watchdog said.
The government ordered the companies to recall the 24 batches of liquid milk and yogurt and pull them from store shelves, according to a statement from China's Administration of Quality Supervision.
The WHO has declared that baby milk substitutes should not be advertised and should not be given away as samples to hospitals and clinics. Nestle has been reported as challenging their need to comply with these rules, defying them, and allegedly putting their own profit before the safety of babies.

There is much research and information now that shows a mother's own breast milk is the healthiest for her baby. A few mothers may have problems breastfeeding, and so there is a small need for a reliable substitute. But generally breast milk is the way to go, and there are groups who have long been advocating the promotion of "breast is best'' .
So it is better to Avoid milk that contains bovine growth hormone, antibiotics, and pesticides. That means you should drink only organic milk. These chemicals may be responsible for some of the health problems associated with milk. Use organic dairy products (ice cream, cheese, yogurt) whenever possible.
